When I was 16 my doctor told me I had Multiple Sclerosis.....
Looking around, I found that young people like me facing that kind of news didn’t have any resources available to help - resources to teach them the skills needed to live with MS, help them cope or help them live a normal teen’s or young adult’s life. I have embarked on an ambitious journey – MS United for Young Adults. MS United for Young Adults is geared specifically to supporting the thousands of young people, under the age of 35, who face the challenges of their future and living daily with MS. With your help, we can reach out to all young people stricken with MS. We want to provide classes in living skills, applying for SSDI and SSI, Learning your rights, how & when to tell your employer you have a chronic illness /Discrimination /ADA /FMLA /Housing rights, tapping community resources, life coaching and most of all, providing the hope that comes from supporting one another.
We are the new generation of MS. Support us in our endeavor to change people’s views of MS and help us on our mission to help young people with MS everywhere live happy, productive and meaningful lives.
